It's challenging, it's fun, it's effective.  Aerial Yoga is a unique fusion technique, revolutionary in relieving compressed joints and aligning the body from head to toe. The special hammock acts as a soft trapeze and as a support while you master simple inversions and finally progress to more advanced poses.

YAMUNA BODY ROLLING®

In a Yamuna® Body Rolling class one learns to work on each part of the body, rolling the ball from the buttocks to the calf; from the tail bone up to the skull; from the abdomen up to the collar bone; from the collar bone out to the shoulder joint; and so on. Everywhere you have muscle connecting from one place to the next; this is the path along which Yamuna® Body Rolling takes you. Similar to a deep tissue massage, the Yoga balls penetrate the connective tissue to relieve tightness of the tendons, ligaments and muscles.  A regular practice of Yamuna body rolling changes the posture and height of one's body.

YBR® is a natural complement to Yoga. Their goals are the same - to free the body of restrictions, eliminate stress and tension; creating a calm and balanced you. YBR® can be integrated into any Yoga class, helping to improve your practice and prevent injury.

The instructor : Hayley Macmillan-Ord has a diverse background in the healing arts, she is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture practitioner, massage therapist and a yoga instructor with a variety of styles and modalities. Hayley is the first person in Costa Rica to get certified to teach Aerial Yoga.

Hayley will be joining us in the capacity of a yoga teacher, using an assortment of
modalities including Yamuna Body Rolling and Aerial Yoga using hammock
type slings. Hayley has been a yoga instructor for 18 years, first learning the
discipline of Hatha Yoga as a student at the age of 17 before embarking on her
teaching qualifications 8 years later.
