All that Jazz :

The Charleston, the Can Can, Vaudeville and Burlesque were all sensations of their time.  Who knew they could be good for our health?  Using dance moves from great moments from our Jazz culture, Lew-Ann will lead you through an hour of rich, robust, flirty and foxy Jazzercise.  This class is not only great for flexibility, core strengthening and aerobic exercise; it will release endorphins and make you laugh!

Belly-Dancing : Why can’t exercising be fun and glamorous?  It can! Strengthen your core, improve your flexibility, shake and shimmy off inches while moving to the beautiful mysterious melodies from the Old World.

As a means of self expression, this ancient art inspires grace, poise and confidence, boosting self esteem and just plain makes us feel womanly. Now every woman can explore her goddess within and become a diva.

Beginners will get all of the basic drills and steps.  We will be covering the essentials to make sure you feel confident.  Divas who have danced with Lew-Ann before will discover new combinations to strengthen their art, while perfecting the tools of the dance form.

So…why Belly Dance?  We Belly Dance because it is fun!

Wear comfortable clothing like a tank top and capri pants.  Hip Scarves are optional but, useful and fun. Lew-Ann will have some for sale.  A pretty scarf also works well.

Tap Workshop from Jan. 8 to 14, 2012:

Tap dancing comes to us from our Irish friends and from the streets of Harlem.  Come and explore this great American Dance with its rich rhythms, great tunes and unique styles.  Anyone can be a hoofer if the desire to tap their toes is there.  Lew-Ann offers a basic introduction to all who Gotta Dance

For this introduction Workshop any shoe with a leather soul will do.  If you have tap shoes bring them.  Sneakers and flip flops are not so good.  If someone wants to order tap shoes from the states, Lew-Ann will transport them.
