I have been a Licensed and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist for ten years, having graduated from the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA, a two-year program with strong emphasis on anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Since graduation, I have taken numerous workshops and have read/studied voraciously, exploring this field of spatial medicine.
In 2003, I completed a 450-hour program on KMI Structural Integration at Tom Myers' school: Kinesis. I am regularly awed by the power of this work to transcend not only our physical limitations but also our ingrained psychosocial habits and attitudes. Having become so committed to KMI Structural Integration, I became a Certified Teacher of Kinesis in 2005. I now travel the east coast teaching 2-4 day weekend workshops titled "Anatomy Trains." These classes are intensives designed to introduce the theories and practices of KMI Structural Integration to Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers, Physical Therapists, and Yoga and Pilates teachers. |
