Welcome to Nosara Wellness, a sanctuary of healing and well-being nestled in the heart of Nosara, Costa Rica. Founded in 2000 by Jane Marchant, our mission is to guide you towards self-responsible health and well-being through a harmonious blend of services, guidance, and inspiration.
At Nosara Wellness, we firmly believe in the innate wisdom of the human body and the profound potential within each individual to play an integral role in their healing journey. Our guiding principle is that nothing is beyond reach when it comes to your well-being. What began as a haven for community yoga classes, soothing massages, and therapeutic physiotherapy sessions has blossomed into a premier center for professional healing modalities in Nosara. Every practitioner within our center shares a unified vision and purpose: to facilitate holistic healing for our valued clients and patients. We understand that wellness is a deeply personal journey, and our services are thoughtfully tailored to meet your specific needs and desires. MEET THE TEAM !
Jane Marchant grew up in Switzerland where she graduated as a physical therapist in 1990. In 1995 she moved to Costa Rica where for 5 years, she worked for Don and Amba Stapleton, founders of the Nosara Yoga Institute (NYI), Interdisciplinary Yoga and Pranassage. In 2000 Jane founded Nosara Wellness, a center for healing and movement therapies. In addition to being a Mom of two young adults, she continues to work as a Physical Therapist, and offers Therapeutic Fitness classes, and also Equine Facilitated Coaching. In the past two years she has been educating herself more about the myofascial tissue, how to treat it and how to rebalance the body through specific movements addressing the myofascial chains. Jane is licensed to work as a physical therapist in Switzerland and in Costa Rica. She speaks fluent English, French, Spanish, German and Dutch.
Lise Melvin is committed to nurturing the creative and self-generative life force that lives inside each one of us. She is a Strozzi Institute certified somatic leadership coach, working with our thinking, feeling and energetic selves, bringing our attention, habits, practices, and imagination together, to align with what deeply matters to us. Lise is part of the Strozzi Institute teaching team and is on a lifelong path of mastery with somatics. Lise has over 13 years of experience as a facilitator and enabler for cross-sector and cross-cultural dialogue and strategy. She works with private sector, government and not for profits. She is skilled moving and integrating into new places and cultures, living with a deep respect for diversity and difference. Karina Rosales, a native of Nosara, is a certified, knowledgeable, and exceptionally skilled masseuse. With an intuitive understanding of each client's unique needs, her massages are expertly tailored for a personalized experience. Her genuine passion for her work is evident, making her a compassionate and caring individual.As the head of the massage team at Nosara Wellness, Karina not only leads but also collaborates seamlessly with three other locally born massage therapists. Together, they ensure a high standard of service and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of their clients.
Marypaz Munay was born in Costa Rica on october 16th, 1990. She speaks fluent spanish and english. MaryPaz graduated as a psychotherapist from the UCACIS (Universidad Centroamericana de Ciencias Sociales). She has specialized in transpersonal and transgenerational psychology, also got certified in craniosacral therapy, womb massage, womb memory healing and bioneuroemotion.
Marypaz is keeper of native american wisdom and moon dancer. She also offers cacao ceremonies, shamanic sound journeys and singing circles. She is a multifacetic artist and sings in the musical duo Lucas & Marypaz and in the band Canto Flecha.
She is a life-long apprentice at the service of love and mother Earth.

Lucas Alberti, born in Argentina on August 23, 1979, is a musician, singer-songwriter, writer and producer. His work is linked to music in ceremonial contexts and for therapeutic purposes.
He has published three books and 3 albums available on all musical platforms.

He participates in his personal medicine music project under his name "Lucas Alberti", in the musical duo "Lucas y Marypaz", in the Nosara band "Canto Flecha" and the collective of medicine musicians "Los Ancestros del Futuro"

Marcel Brenes graduated as a psychlogist from the UCR, Costa Rica's top ranked university and holds a master in addicion studies from the UNED. In addition to a certification course in Bereavement Treatment, he has worked with high risk students in an alternative boarding school context, and is currently the psychologits and counseler at Nosara's Del Mar Academy. Marcel is tri-lingual (Spanish, English and conversational Italian).
Claudia von Buren is trained in multiple therapeutic Work, Professional Shiatsu Therapist, Psycho-Spiritual Energy- & Bodyworker, Life Counsellor, Nutrition, PranaVinyasaYoga Teacher, YinYoga Teacher, Holistic Psychology, Polarity, Meditation, Etc.Claudia is a Energetica, sees and feels all as Energy, that manifests through the Elements of Life, loves all that is connected to movement, free flow and play. As Keeperess of the sacred Flame, she is entirely devoted to the Spark of Life, Love and Light. Nature is her own Guide & Healer, Source of Balance & Inspiration: Forrests, Mountains, Rivers & Lakes, as well as Ma Ocean and the Jungle – Surfing inner & outer Waves, serving and enjoying Pura Vida Vibes.

Kate Cameron's background as a yoga teacher, positive psychology researcher and world traveler have allowed her a unique perspective and multifaceted approach to healing. Katherine Finley has been on a lifelong journey discovering how to fully live an embodied spiritual life. Beginning her career as a psychotherapist specializing in trauma opened her eyes to how stress and trauma are stored in the body, but also how the body is always seeking to move towards healing and wholeness if we have the tools to help it. Through years of engaging in different practices from her teachers in India, breath work practices, and various meditation practices, Katherine has integrated her knowledge and lived experience of living a divinely aligned life, and working with the body, to support her clients in living a thriving embodied life. This means supporting her clients in aligning with their true divine essence and embodying this to create a life that is filled with purpose and joy.
