What is Ayurveda? Ayurveda, "the Science of Life," is a 5,000-year-old holistic medicine system that has its roots in India.
Through an Ayurvedic Consultation, you will learn about your specific body constitution (Dosha dominance) which will inform your understanding of yourself. Not only that, but it will also inform your healing. Ayurveda says that at birth, we have a certain genetic make-up, including our Doshas, and through life, the Doshas become imbalanced which leads to health issues, and ultimately disease.
Ayurveda teaches that you have everything that you need in your body to heal, and because of that, YOU are the primary healer. An Ayurvedic practitioner's responsibility is to suggest the right herbs, diet, and routines (specific to each person) to create the optimal environment for healing to take place within the body.
